*FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13, 2008
August 5 and 6 - "LEAP" into the new school year - turn in paperwork, get your books, schedules, p.e. clothes, etc. - Information will be mailed home during the summer!
*Attention 7th graders wanting to go to Washington DC next year: The early registration has been extended to June 15th.  Please let your parents know that they can still get this year’s price for next year if they get you signed up the June 15th.  See Mrs. Hardenbrook Ms. Russell if you have any questions.

*BOX-TOPS for education. Turn in your box-tops 1st period, write your full name on the back, earn prizes. BoxTops support Home Ec program. SAVE BOXTOPS FOR NEXT YEAR!!
*Put money on your child's lunch account online at www.mynutrikids.com There is a transaction fee of $1.75, however for every transaction for each child's account of $20 or more, a bonus meal valued at $1.80 will be added to your family account. If you have more than one child, you must put $20 on at least 1 child's account to get the bonus meal on that account. SUSD does not profit from the transaction fee. To obtain your child's cafeteria ID# call Jeanette at SUSD Central Kitchen 545-1347. If you have any other questions, please contact Billy Reid, SUSD Food Service Supervisor at 545-1347.
* We have implemented a subscriber-based Emergency Information System that is accessible through the district’s website.  The system has been designed to send instant email notifications to all subscribers whenever a situation arises that calls for timely communication.  You may have already been signed up to receive these notifications.  If not, you may do so by following these steps:
  1. Go to www.salida.k12.ca.us
  2. Click Emergency Info
  3. Enter your email address at the bottom of the screen then click Subscribe
