A.S.P.I.R.E. PROGRAM
The A.S.P.I.R.E. Program at Salida Middle School is a 21st Century Community Learning Center. A.S.P.I.R.E. stands for After School Program Intervention Recreation and Education. All students that are enrolled at Salida Middle School are eligible to participate. The ASPIRE program offers students general homework help daily after school from 3-4:45 pm. All of our staff are college-level professionals that operate on a 1 to 20 staff to student ratio. All students enrolled are required to attend at least 3 days a week for a minimum of an hour a day. At 4:45 students transition from the library and other classrooms to the cafeteria. They are given a nutritious snack . After snacks are served, the students are able to participate in board games, sports, arts & crafts, and other recreational activities.

Since we receive federal funds through a grant, we are able to provide this opportunity for our students at little or no cost to them. We are currently in our third and final year of the grant. But the program has been such a success that we are continuously pursuing funding sources so that all of our students will be able to have the same opportunity in the years to come. We look forward to working with your students and building relationships with your families!
