SPIRITQUEST

How can you show school spirit? It's simple: just participate in school activities, follow school rules, and take your education seriously. No Problem!!

You can check out how your grade level is doing in it's SpiritQuest by checking the display case on the gym. It will be updated weekly or as points are added or subtracted.

How to EARN SpiritQuest points:

Dances: Earn a point each time you attend a dance! We count the tickets turned in.

Spirit Days: Student Council will randomly choose one advisement from each grade level to visit on Spirit Days. We'll count how many students (with extra points if the teacher is dressed up as well) and your grade level will get 5 points for each person dressed up that day.

School Sports: Each game won by our very own Wildcat teams will earn that grade level 25 points! (Multiple grade teams will divide SpiritQuest points by percentage)

Rally Games/Spirit Cheers: Whenever the raly game involves grade level competitions, the winning team/students earn SpiritQuest points for thei grade level. Points are determined by game difficulty! Spirit cheer competitions during rallies will be judged by the teachers. We'll let you know how many points this is worth at the time.

Penny Drive: The amount of pennies will equal the number of points earned. The more pennies in your grade level jar, the more SpiritQuest points you earn!

Box Tops: One point for each box top brought in - what could be easier?

Planner Competition: The winning advisement classes earn points for their grade level - 2 points per dollar!

Schoolwide Fundraisers: One point per dollar turned in can be earned for your grade level! This is REALLY easy! The grade level that sells the most wins an extra 100 points.

Parents' Club Meetings: Talk your parents into attending an SMS Parents' Club meeting and earn 10 points for your grade level.

Renaissance Cards/Activities: Renaissance cards earn you SpiritQuest points! Gold cards are worth 25 points, blue cards are worth 15 points, white cards are worth 5 points. Good for the cards received during the beginning of trimester one, two, and three. Also, points will be awarded for Renaissance activities and competitions.

Other ASB activities: Various surprise point opportunities will show up during the year . . . listen to announcements carefully. Watch out for double and triple points opportunities!

How to LOSE SpiritQuest points:

Dress Code Violations: For each dress code violation written up, your grade level will lose one point. You'll lose triple points on Spirit Days if you don't follow the rules. Same goes for Jeans Day. We don't want to lose Jeans Day or any of our other Spirit Days, so follow the rules!

T.A.S.K.: Five points for each assigned T.A.S.K. will be subtracted from your grade level totals. Stay out of trouble and help your grade earn the end of the year REWARD.

UNSAT list: Lose points for being on the Unsat list, but earn them back again when you earn your way off the unsat list. One point per trimester listing.

Miscellaneous: Special situations may come up that will require point subtractions. We'll let you know as the year progresses.
